United unveil training jersey sponsor 2011-15
English Premier League champions Manchester United have become the first club in England to sign a sponsorship deal for their training jerseys.
DHL, the world’s leading express and logistics company, have signed a monumental £40 million deal to feature their name on United’s training jersey for the next four years. The company’s logo will be present on the training jerseys of the first, reserve and youth teams.
The club had a very strong 10/11 season which saw them regain their hold on the Premier League trophy. Aside from that, the Red Devils reached the final of the Champions League although they were beaten 3-1 in the final by an excellent Barcelona outfit. The only other major disappointment of the season was a 1-0 FA Cup semi final defeat to bitter rivals Manchester City. Legendary manager Sir Alex Ferguson will hope to break more records during the 11/12 campaign.
