Tottenham Soccer
Tottenham Hotspur is an London based soccer club playing in the English Premier League. The club was founded in 1882 and plays its home games in White Hart Lane which has a capacity of 36,310. The club is affectionately known as Spurs and Lilywhites. The club's motto is “To Dare is to Do” and to complement this is the cockerel standing upon a soccer which is the club's emblem. The club has a long-standing rivalry with neighbours Arsenal and the matches between these 2 teams is known as the North London derby.
The club's kit colours are white jerseys and blue shorts for home matches, an all-light blue kit for their away matches and they currently have an all-black third kit. Their kits are currently manufactured by Puma and sponsored by Mansion.com.
During their 127-year old history, the club lifted the English League First Division title (which is equivalent to the now Premier League) twice in 1950-51 and 1960-61. Amongst the club's Roll of Honour, the Spurs managed to win the FA Cup 8 times, League Cup 4 times – the last being in 2008. Regarding European competitions, the club won the first ever Uefa Cup in 1972 and managed to add another one in 1984. Tottenham also managed to win the UEFA Cup Winners' Cup in 1963.
