Sunderland fans got their first opportunity to see their new home uniform as SAFC.com revealed the 2009/10 jersey. The new jersey will be on sale in club stores from 20th May 2009.

The new Sunderland home uniform contains the traditional red and white vertical stripes on the jersey that continues into the sleeves. The club crest is located in the top left of the jersey and contains an embossed club crest outside of that. Manufacturers Umbro place their logo in the top right of the jersey whilst sponsors Boylesports place their logo through the centre of the jersey. All in all, the uniform maintains the tradition that lies within the Sunderland home jersey whilst creating some new attractive features such as the embossed club crest.
