Scotland 2012 home/away jersey designs

European nation Scotland have revealed their new national team home and away jersey designs for 2012. The designs may well be represented at Euro 2012 if the Scots can finish 2nd in their qualification group.

The team have failed to qualify for a major championship since the 1998 World Cup. In most recent times, George Burley failed to lead the nation to the 2010 World Cup after only finishing 3rd in their group behind Holland and Norway. Craig Levein was his replacement and has led the team into the Euro 2012 qualification programme. The team started poorly taking just four points from their opening four matches. A draw against the Czech Republic and a victory over Lithuania has seen them keep their home alive but they need will need to win their final two matches, including a game away to Spain to stand a realistic chance of progressing.

The new Scotland 2012 home jersey design is predominately dark blue with a jagged light blue design of the Scotish flag filling the chest area of the body. Elsewhere, the collar is a white polo neck and various darker pinstripes run throughout. The new Scotland 2012 away jersey design contains white and cream horizontal stripes that run throughout the body. The collar is a black V neck with yellow details and the same colors are used on the sleeve edges.
