New Romania 2010/12 home jersey
European nation Romania have revealed their new 2010/12 home jersey that has been changed to red from the previous traditional yellow shirt.
The team has had an interesting couple of years with very contrasting fortunes. They qualified impressively for Euro 2008 where they were pitted in the dubbed “group of death” with Italy, France and Holland. The Romanians performed admirably by holding France and Italy to draws before narrowly losing to the Dutch. However, the team failed to carry this form into the 2010 World Cup qualifiers as they suffered a dismal campaign. They were never in contention with leaders Serbia and France. In fact, the team eventually finished an abysmal 5th below Austria and Lithuania.

The new Romania 2010/12 home jersey is predominately red and that looks remarkably like the Spanish home uniform throughout 2008. The jersey features various blue thin pinstripes that are scattered down the left sleeve and side. Manufacturers Adidas place their yellow logo centrally below the yellow round neck collar. The brand also places their traditional three yellow stripes down the shoulders and bottom of the sleeves. The national badge is positioned half way down on the left side of the jersey.

It’s ok – one Spain didn’t want? – but Adidas need to sort out their issue with sleeve patches and what the big gap does to their 3 stripes.
As they are changing from yellow, would like to know the colour of the shorts and socks.
