The team's highest ever FIFA Ranking was fourth place in May 1998 and May 2006 while their lowest ever FIFA Ranking was 32nd place in August 2008. Their current ranking is 24th place. The team's top scorer is Jared Borgetti who scored 46 goals and the team's most capped player was Claudio Suarez having featured in 179 matches.
The Mexican home uniform is mainly green jerseys with white shorts while their away uniform is mainly white jerseys with green shorts.
Mexico managed to lift the FIFA Confederations Cup in 1999 and won the FIFA U-17 World Cup in 2005. The team also won the CONCACAF Championship 3 times while the CONCACAF Gold Cup 4 times. Their best ever run in the World Cup was in 1970 and 1986 when they were knocked out at the Quarter-Finals.
