Honduras new Home and Away 2010 World Cup jerseys

CONCACAF nation Honduras has revealed their new home and away jerseys that they will wear at the 2010 World Cup in South Africa.

The team managed to qualify for only their second ever World Cup after finishing 3rd in the CONCACAF qualification stage behind USA and Mexico. Honduras previously appeared at the 1982 tournament where they drew two matches and lost the other. The national team has recently undergone a resurgence with players such as Wilson Palacios, Hendry Thomas and Maynor Figueroa playing in the Premier League. The World Cup draw pitted them against Spain, Chile and Switzerland. The team will fancy their chances of finishing 2nd and qualifying for the knock out stages.

The new Honduras home jersey is predominately white with a large horizontal blue stripe that runs across the top of the chest. There are several other blue patches scattered over the body including on the edges of the sleeves and bottom of the jersey. Manufacturers Joma place their dark blue logo centrally below the white and blue round neck collar. The national badge is located directly below whilst a blue squad number is situated underneath in the centre of the jersey.

The new Honduras away jersey is predominately blue with numerous thin black vertical pinstripes that run throughout the body. Manufacturers Joma place their dark blue logo centrally below the collar and inside a white and light blue horizontal stripe that runs across the chest. The national badge is situated directly below whilst a white squad number was positioned underneath.
