Fulham FC was founded in 1879 by worshippers from a local church and currently plays in the English Premier League. The club turned professional in 1898 and had joined the Football League by 1907. It made the top tier of English soccer for the first time in 1949 with 9 lower league and cup titles. Fulham remained in the Football League making a steady decline to the 3rd Division (4th tier) by 1994 before an impressive turn around in 5 short years(1997/2001) which saw the club climb rise from the 4th league of English Football to the EPL(league one) claiming two league titles along the away.
The Cottagers as they are known have remained in the EPL since 2001 claiming a lone title in this period the Intertoto Cup in 2002. They have played their home games at Craven Cottage since 1896 with a capacity of 26000 and have become a competitive outfit whilst battling relegation in their 8 Premier League seasons.
Fulham is currently managed by Roy Hodgson who performed a great relegation escape taking over as manager on the 30th of December 2007. He lead the club to 3 away victories in a row to finish just above the relegation zone and enter Fulham folklore. Season 2008/09 has been much improved with stars such as Mark Schwarzer, Clint Dempsey and Andrew Johnson moving the club away from the relegation zone. Fulham wear Nike soccer jesesys, the home is all white, whilst the away jesey is red and black.
