2012 Germany home jersey

European giants Germany have revealed their new home jersey that they will wear during 2012 and most noticably during the European Championships of that year assuming that they qualify as expected.

The nation had a successful 2010 World Cup where their young talent excelled only to be knocked out to eventual winners Spain. Since then, Joachim Low’s team has flourished in qualifying for Euro 2012 as they have currently won 7 out of 7 matches in a group containing tricky opposition in Turkey and a young Belgium side. They are almost certain to qualify for the tournament where they will undoubtedly be one of the favourites to win it. The qualification draw for the 2014 World Cup was also recently revealed placing the Germans in a relatively straight forward group including Sweden and the Republic of Ireland.

The new 2012 Germany home jersey is predominately white with two thin black pinstripes running diagonally from the top left of the body down towards the bottom right. Manufacturers Adidas place their black logo in the top right whilst the three traditional black stripes run down the shoulders and sleeves. The club badge is situated in the top left equipped with three black stars representing their World Cup triumphs and a large black squad number is present on the middle of the body. Other details include a thin black V neck collar and another thin diagonal pinstripe in a lighter shade than the other two.
