The Colorado Rapids Away jersey keeps the traditional light blue predominate color of previous Rapids away uniforms. There are also several maroon patches on the jersey including the typeface. The manufacturers are Adidas who include their logo centrally under the collar and the three stripes alongside the shoulders. There is no current sponsor for the new jersey meaning that the word “Colorado” runs across the middle.

All in all, the design looks a lot more modernized than the 2008 jersey and the blend of maroon and light blue gives it a classy feel.

Colorado Rapids

During the thirteen years that Colorado Rapids have competed in the MLS, they have failed to win any honors. The Rapids best year came in 1997 when they lost in the final of the MLS Cup. That was the only season they have got past the semi final stage. In fact, Colorado Rapids have never finished higher than 3rd in their regional division. The Rapids also failed to qualify for the play offs during the 2008 season.

Colorado Rapids are owned by Arsenal director Stan Kronke and play their home games at the 18,776 capacity Dick’s Sporting Goods Park.
